The movie you feel like you're coming along on a doomed mission driven by an air of mystery and foreboding from what isn't seen. I think they were right to cut the stuff towards the beginning, but all the stuff towards the end with sentry guns should have stayed. ![]() Saying things twice almost provides that "echo" of "Hey, he said what I thought!" I think one of the commentaries said that Hudson was kind of the audience-surrogate in the film, saying aloud what the viewer was thinking.
